To be eligible for the position of a junior all applicants must meet the following criteria: No experience necessary! Available Monday evenings for business meetings, work nights, and drills. Must be of sound mind and have the character, physical, and technical ability to perform the duties of the volunteer fire police. Have good grades in school. Citizen of the United States. Have a valid State of New Jersey driver’s license. Between sixteen (16) and eighteen (18) years of age. Reside in the Township of Jackson, County of Ocean, and State of New Jersey. Primary residence must be within a three (3) mile radius of either JMFC fire station(s) or you must reside within Fire District No. 4 No training, no problem! You provide your time and we will pay for you to become a New Jersey Fire Police Officer. All required equipment will be provided by the fire company at no expense to you.
